Multi- Activity Day: A one-day multi-activity programme incorporating 2/ 3 adventure sports
Challenger: A one-day programme to include ½ day Team Challenge programme, which aims to develop skills such as teamwork, initiative, problem solving & leadership skills. Combine with an activity of your choice to make up a full day.
Galty Hillwalking: A full day hillwalking in the Galty Mountains led by our experienced Mountain Leaders. Students are kitted out with boots, rucksack, raingear, map & compass. This day focuses on navigation skills & environmental awareness.
Open Canoe River Trip: These adrenalin packed days takes place on the Rivers Shannon & Mulkear. Travelling in Open or Canadian style canoes students learn to negotiate rapids & weirs. Level 1 Certification from the Irish Canoe Union is available for an additional fee of 4.50 per student . (Additional days can be added to build upon skills learnt to achieve further certification)
Kayak Skills Level 1: This one-day course based at Lough Gur focuses on learning the skills of flatwater kayaking. Level 1 Certification from the Irish Canoe Union is available for an additional fee of 4.50 per student.( Additional days can be added to build upon skills learnt to achieve further certification)

Courses
Residential School Programmes are designed to offer an enjoyable & educational
outdoor experience. Courses range in length from 2 to 5 days and we will be
pleased to design a programme to suit the specific needs of your group. Typical
course objectives would include skills such as teamwork, communication & problem
solving skills. In addition emphasis can be placed on one particular
sport in order to gain a National Governing Body Certificate ( see Skills
Courses).

Our Five Day Adventure Challenge Course is our most popular course with Transition Year Groups and offers the ideal team building course to start off the year.
This course focuses on skills development,
team building and group development. Activities include: Full Day Hillwalk,
Overnight Mountain Camp, Canoe/ Kayak River Trip, Abseiling, Team Challenges,
Indoor Wall Climbing & The Kilfinane Challenge.
Kilfinane OEC provide a range of skills courses and our certified courses are particularly popular with Transition Year and Leaving Cert Applied classes. Some Certified courses may be recognised as modules on FETAC programmes.

mountain ranges and with the Ballyhoura hills on our doorstep. All specialist
equipment is available from the centre and is included in course fees.

Rescue & Emergency Care Scheme (REC)
The Rescue & Emergency Care Scheme offers an interesting and practical approach to first aid. REC is particularly suited to those involved in the outdoors and provides practical solutions to administering first aid in more remote locations.
